Cancelled: IAS Nowruz Gala 1405 w/ Shahbal Shabpareh & Black Cats
Dear Members and Friends,
It is with very heavy hearts and deep concern, that we, the Board of Directors of the Iranian American Society of New York, are closely following the unfolding news and painful developments in Iran.
After thoughtful reflection, we have unanimously decided that during these difficult times we are cancelling all IAS events scheduled for the coming months. At this critical and sorrowful moment in our country’s history, we do not feel it is appropriate to hold gatherings or celebrations while our people are enduring fear, loss, and uncertainty.
This decision was not made lightly. IAS has always existed and strived to bring people together in the spirit of culture, community, and shared humanity. Today, that same sense of responsibility calls on us to pause, to reflect, and to stand in solidarity with the people of Iran. We respectfully ask our members, friends, and supporters to join us during this time in prayer, reflection, and compassion—for our country, for its people, and for all those whose lives have been forever impacted by the current events. In these difficult times, the loss of life of our compatriots and those injured are of utmost importance to us and our community as a whole.
Our thoughts are with every family facing hardship, grief, or injustice. We remain committed to our mission and values, and we look forward to a time when we can once again gather under circumstances that honor peace, dignity, and celebrations. Until then, we stand united in empathy and conscience.
All those who have already purchased any IAS event tickets will receive refunds in the upcoming days.
With respect and solidarity,
Board of Directors
Iranian American Society of New York
